About RetireReady

Most people walk into their first meeting with a financial adviser without knowing their own numbers. RetireReady exists to fix that — a free, plain-English read on where your retirement actually stands, and then an introduction to an adviser who is regulated to help you do something about it.

Regulated advisers only

We only connect you with advisers authorised and regulated by the FCA — and you can verify any of them yourself on the FCA Register.

Your numbers first

You get a written read on your own position before you speak to anyone, so you walk into the conversation already knowing what to ask.

Free to you, always

Advisers pay us for the introduction. You are never billed by RetireReady, and nothing obliges you to proceed.

The advisers we connect you with

Every adviser we connect you with is authorised and regulated by the FCA.

  • Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and listed on the FCA Register — which you can check yourself at register.fca.org.uk.
  • Qualified to at least Level 4, the minimum standard the FCA requires to give regulated financial advice — awarded by the CII, the CISI or the LIBF.
  • Introduced to you free of charge. You are never billed by RetireReady, and there is no obligation to proceed.

Where our numbers come from

Every figure in our guides and reports comes from a cited public source — the Office for National Statistics, the PLSA Retirement Living Standards, and gov.uk. Where a number is a national benchmark rather than a projection for you personally, we say so on the page. RetireReady does not forecast, does not recommend products, and does not give financial advice.

The straight answers

What is RetireReady?
RetireReady is a free UK service that gives you a personalised retirement report in a couple of minutes, then connects you with an FCA-regulated financial adviser.
Is RetireReady free?
Yes. The retirement check, the report and the introduction are all free to you. There is no charge at any point and no obligation to speak to anyone.
How does RetireReady make money?
Advisers pay RetireReady for introductions. You are never charged. We think you should know that up front rather than find it in a footnote.
Is RetireReady regulated by the FCA?
No. RetireReady is not an FCA-authorised adviser and does not give financial advice. It provides education and benchmarks, and connects you with advisers who are authorised and regulated by the FCA. You can check any adviser on the FCA Register at register.fca.org.uk.
Are the advisers qualified?
Yes. Every adviser we connect you with is authorised and regulated by the FCA and qualified to at least Level 4 — the minimum standard required to give regulated financial advice in the UK, awarded by the CII, the CISI or the LIBF.
What do I actually get?
A written report setting out your own numbers in plain English — what you have, what people in your position typically need, and the questions worth asking an adviser. You keep it whether or not you ever book a call.
Do I have to speak to an adviser?
No. The report is yours either way. Booking a call is optional.
How long does it take?
The retirement check is a short set of questions and takes a couple of minutes. Your report is generated as soon as you finish.
